PELVIC FLOOR DYSFUNCTIONS(PFD)

The pelvic floor is made up of the muscles, ligaments, and tissues that sit within the pelvis between the tailbone and the pubic bone.

Some of the common symptoms we treat are:

BLADDER

  • Urinary leakage (i.e. cough/sneeze, laugh, running/jumping)
  • Urinary frequency, urgency(increased frequency to use the bathroom and nocturia (night-time voiding)
  • Incomplete emptying of bladder
  • Painful urination
  • Feeling of pressure, heaviness or sensation of the pelvic organs falling out: Pelvic organ prolapse
  • Overactive bladder syndrome/Interstitial cystitis

 

BOWEL

  • Constipation or straining to have a bowel movement
  • Diarrhea
  • Incomplete emptying of stool
  • Rectal prolapse
  • Fecal urgency
  • Fecal leakage/incontinence

PELVIC PAIN

  • Pain in the pelvis, perineum, genitals, pubic, or bladder regions
  • Pain with urination
  • Pain with intercourse
  • Low back, hip, buttocks, sacral or groin pain
  • Numbness or tingling in the pelvic region or legs
  • Coccyx (tailbone) Pain
  • Feeling Pain In Your Lower Back With No Other Cause.
